The Home Builders Association of the Fox Cities is once again hosting the Fox Cities Parade of Homes, and it is almost here. Escaping the winter weather and touring some incredible homes sounds like a great way to enjoy the upcoming weekends.
The HBAFC Parade of Homes hours are as follows:
SATURDAY (2/6): 11AM - 5PM
SUNDAY (2/7): 11AM - 5PM
THURSDAY (2/11): 5PM - 8PM
FRIDAY (2/12): 5PM - 8PM
SATURDAY (2/13): 11AM - 5PM
SUNDAY (2/14): 11AM - 5PM
Cypress Homes has two Parade homes in this event:
1. W5536 HOELZEL WAY, VILLAGE OF HARRISON
2. 881 WHISPER FALLS LANE, CITY OF MENASHA
COVID-19 Precautions for the Parade of Homes
HBAFC leadership has regularly met, reviewed guidelines and best practices, and determined that a maximum of 8 attendees may be allowed within any parade home at one time.
HBAFC has set safety precautions for homebuilders and guests to follow. These guidelines ensure the event will be a safe and enjoyable experience for all who participate. We wanted to make sure you know what is expected of all guests and builders to do their part in preventing the spread of COVID-19, so continue reading for more information.
1. FACE MASKS
All Parade of Homes participants must wear face mask coverings when inside of the homes and in the garages. Keep your mask on at all times when viewing homes- it must cover both your mouth AND nose. Your mask helps to protect others, their masks help to protect you, and it works best when everyone wears one. We do ask that if you are presenting with any of the symptoms of COVID-19, as outlined per the CDC, or not been cleared as a non-contagious individual, please do not attend the parade.
2. CLEAN SOCKS
Typically, the HBAFC asks Parade participants to wear booties when walking through each home. This year, participants are asked to take off their shoes before entering the home and wear a clean pair of socks instead of disposable foot coverings. This practice will help to reduce the amount of germs being spread from person to person.
In the case that participants cannot walk through the homes without shoes due to medical reasons only, they must bring an extra pair of clean, dry shoes to change into in the garage. After changing into clean shoes, they must then put shoe coverings over those shoes. Street shoes are not permitted in any instance.
3. social DISTANCING
Be courteous of other's space and use common sense when it comes to being aware of social distancing guidelines. Whenever practical, maintain a 6' distance away from anyone not part of your group, and do not sit on any of the furniture. Children 12 and under should always remain in the same room as their adult chaperone. If possible, leave your children at home.
Please refrain from handshaking representatives.
4. SANITIZING
Cypress Homes will be regularly sanitizing high-contact surfaces. Hand sanitizers will be available for use at each Parade home, and it's recommended that you use them before and after viewing each home. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own sanitizing equipment for personal use. Eating, drinking and/or smoking inside homes is not permitted .
5. SURFACES
We fully understand that one of the most exciting aspects of the Parade is touching the finishes in each home, which is why Cypress places cards up on the surfaces from which you can learn about the selections! However, to limit the number of germs spread, we ask that you not touch surfaces inside the home, as well as refraining from sitting on the furniture. No doubt it will be tempting to feel all the beautiful selections put into our homes, but other viewers will thank you for being responsible.
6. TICKETS
$12 Tickets may be purchased online, via the mobile app, or in-person at the HBA Fox Cities office, Feb. 1-14, during office hours listed below. Tickets are also available at all Parade homes during event hours.
