From July through September of this year we surveyed our friends and followers to discover some of their favorite design styles and choices. We've tallied the results and are excited to share them with you. We've witnessed some friendly debate on topics such as preferred locations for shiplap, cabinet design and tile shower colors. Take a look at the winners below:
Favorite Parade Space
These pictures were from our most recent past parade home, a beautiful 2-story Magnolia. Of the three spaces below, the Laundry room (B) , located on the 2nd story of this plan, was the favorite parade space.
Favorite Storage System
Our 2021 BCHBA Fall Showcase boasted some impressive storage solutions. Of those shown here, and from feedback we heard at the parade, the pantry (B) storage was the winner.
Favorite Tub Style
Though each tub style has a place in different designs, here the more squared edge tub (C) was the preferred choice.
Favorite Subway Tile
Subway tile ideas in a master shower area have slowly migrated away from always doing white, though in this poll, that allegiance to the classic white look (C) just took the final prize here.
Favorite Home Style
The idea of building a ranch style home is enticing to many people, and it showed here as most of those polled chose (A) as their favorite style of home.
Favorite Shiplap Location
We've seen shiplap utilized in various ways in many different rooms throughout homes. Of those recent trends, behind the master vanity (A) was the chosen favorite here. All of these trends were found in our 2021 WHBA summer parade.
Favorite Shower Feature
The practicality of the wand (A) in the shower was selected as the favorite here, though we think that all of these combined would make for a dream shower setup.
Favorite Kitchen Cabinets
Our royal view condo complex in Bellevue showed us that you can be close neighbors while still having a distinct style suited to your tastes. The chosen favorite here was the contrast offered between stained and white island and cabinets (B). Keep up to date on happenings at the Royal View Condos here.

These three cabinet features found below were all part of our kitchen cabinet feature blog, where you can find plenty more inspiration to suit your organizational tastes. Of the three choices below, the double trash pullout (C) was the selected favorite.
