The Avalon plan took nearly 80% of the votes over the Claremont. This was not a major surprise, since the Avalon is one of our most popular floor plans. 

This was a powerhouse match up between one of our most desired ranch plans (The Karalyn) and one of our most desired 2-Story plans (The Magnolia). It was a tight race but the Magnolia advances to round 2 with 58.6% of the votes.

The battle of the Bells! The Bellmont and The Bellmore are 2 similar ranch plans: The Bellmont has an extra 1/2 bath and a U-shaped staircase, but the Bellmore plan has a study. Ultimately, the Bellmont received more votes.

The Cottonwood vs The Edgewood was also a very interesting matchup. They are both 1.5 story plans with 2 story great rooms. The Edgewood is bigger, but many might argue that the Cottonwood has more curb appeal. Also, the Cottonwood has been built much more frequently over the past few years, so we're calling this Edgewood victory an upset!

The smaller version of our Karalyn plan, the Kari, just took down our most frequently built 2 story plan, the Amberwood. These are both popular floor plans, but its a bit of a surprise since the other similar matchup went in the opposite direction (Magnolia beat the Karalyn).

The 2208 sq. ft. Carabelle was just way too much of a contender for our 1711 sq. ft. Westridge plan. If you're looking for a convenient layout that fits on narrow lots, the Westridge is a popular option.  However, the Carabelle just has so much more to offer. This was our biggest blowout of the first round.

The Prairie Willow found itself as a huge underdog against our most frequently built 1.5 story plan, the Brookridge.  The results went exactly as we would have expected with the Brookridge taking 78.6% of the votes.

The final matchup in the first round was a very close call. The Ridgewood is a popular 1.5 story plan with a side load garage, while the Tamarack has everything you're looking for in a 2100 sq. ft. ranch. The Ridgewood is advancing to the 2nd round by the slightest of margin.
