Did you know that there is an easy and FREE way to support your favorite local small businesses? Actually, there are lots of free and easy ways you can support your favorite places:

• Follow & support them on social media: like, share, and comment on their posts
• Talk about them with your friends and family: many small businesses are heavily reliant on positive word of mouth reviews
• Leave them a review online: there are tons of review sites, but Google, Facebook, and Yelp are some of the most popular.
• Vote for them during local polls & awards, like BEST OF THE VALLEY!

Today, we’d like to talk to you about the last one.  Once each year, the Appleton Post-Crescent holds the “Best of the Valley” Reader’s Choice Awards. This year, voting started on March 10 and will end on April 14th. You can vote once per day for your favorite local go-to places for fun, food, entertainment, and services. There are 6 groups, with over 100 categories to vote on: everything from your favorite local beer to your favorite home builder (wink, wink…).

You can view all the categories and start voting for your favorites on the Best of the Valley website. Remember that it doesn’t cost you anything to vote and your support could help your favorite small business win an award and get the recognition they deserve.
